Nikonorov, Eduard Semenovich

Born April 15, 1951 in the city of Baranavichy, Brest Region, Belarusian SSR. In 1953, the family moved to the city of Krasnodar, where he studied at the Krasnodar Art School at the decorative and decorating department, which he graduated in 1975

1978 joined the Kiev State Art Institute , where he studied in the workshop of monumental painting with Professor N. Storozhenko. A student twice became the winner of an all-institute competition. In 1985 he graduated from the institute and in the direction he came to work as a monumental artist in the art and production plant of the city of Ivano-Frankivsk. Along with monumental works, he is engaged in easel painting. Participates in republican and all-union exhibitions.

In 1987, the painting "Farewell" was acquired by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine from a republican exhibition in Kiev. From 1987 to 1989, the Ivano-Frankivsk Art Museum acquired four works by the artist for his collection.

In 1995, the artist went to live and work in Prague. Engaged in easel painting, exhibited in local galleries, participates in European exhibitions and art festivals. During this period, at the Le Siants Galerie Gallery in Prague, 2 paintings were acquired by Ivanna Trump.

Since 2001, the artist's paintings participated in exhibitions in the United States, in the states of Connecticut, New York , New Jersey, Massachusetts and Washington. In 2010, Eduard Nikonorov returned to Ukraine, to Ivano-Frankivsk . Actively participates in collective regional and all-Ukrainian exhibitions. During this time, 10 personal exhibitions took place - seven of them in Ukraine, three in Poland. In 2016, the book “Cave, cave, Deus videt” was published in Poland about the artist and his work.

Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1988. Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1991. The artist works in an individual style, defining it as modern with elements of symbolic expressionism. Most of the paintings are in private collections in many countries of the world. Four paintings by the artist is part of the collection of the Art Museum in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk. Some of the works of Eduard Nikonorov are in the Evro Art Gallery collection.
