Appearance
A creature named Dingonek is compared with a manticore , walrus , and also with a lizard-like anteater . The first cryptid is similar, due to the structure of the lion's body and the presence of a long and sharp tail resembling a dart . Locals believe this tail emits deadly poison . Digonek looks like a walrus allegedly by the presence of sharp fangs and huge tusks . Also, the creature is similar to pangolin due to the scaly cover of the body.
It is believed that Dingonek also has a long horn. The color of the cryptid can change from red to gray. Long approximately 3-6 m . The head allegedly has an angular square shape.
Lifestyle & Observation
It lives more in the water part than in the forest. It is assumed that Dingonek is capable of killing hippos , crocodiles , as well as fishermen and wanderers, who wandered into the territory of a mysterious creature .
One of the first to encounter cryptid was the African explorer John Alfred Jordan. In 1907 (according to some sources in 1909 ), a scientist noticed an unidentified creature on the Maggori River in Kenya . Jordan described the monster as a rather large creature, about 5.5 meters long, similar to some kind of reptile , with curved fangs, a spotted back, claws and a long tail. The monster became furious after firing a .303 British . The scientist had to shoot the cryptid [1] .
Also
In the mountain caves of Breckfontein on the territory of the Western Cape there are cave paintings that depict hunters and animals. Presumably one of the animals has a correspondence with the description of Dingonek [2] .
