Fachem Hammashi ( Arabic: فاهم حميشي ; born March 7, 1992 , Bejaya ) - Algerian boxer , representative of the lightest and lightest weight categories. He has been playing for Algeria's boxing team since 2010, silver medalist at the World War Games in Mungon , winner of a silver medal at the World Championship among military personnel, winner and medalist of tournaments of international importance, participant in the Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro .

Biography
Fachem Hammashi was born on March 7, 1992 in Bejaya , Algeria .
The first serious success at the adult international level was in the 2010 season, when he joined the Algerian national team and visited the international tournament “Trophy Mohamed VI” in Morocco, from where he brought the bronze dignity award won in the first flyweight category. He also performed at the home African Cup of Nations and at the World Junior Championships in Azerbaijan, where he lost to Cuban Yoswani Veitia at the preliminary stage.
In 2011, he performed at the African Championship in Cameroon.
He took silver at the 2012 African Cup of Nations in Botswana, took first place in the Algeria Boxing Cup.
In 2013, he boxed at the Mediterranean Games in Mersin , but reached here only to the quarter-finals. He played at the Giraldo Cordoba Cardin international tournament in Cuba and at the home international tournament in Setif, where he received bronze.
In the championship of Algeria, he defeated all his rivals in the bantamweight and won a gold medal. He represented the country at the championship of the International Council of Military Sports in Alma-Ata, where he managed to reach the finals, having suffered the only defeat in a decisive meeting with Kazakh Kairat Eraliev . He won a silver medal at the World War Games in Mungen , while he was the best at the African Military Championship. Since that time, he regularly participated in the match meetings of the WSB semi-professional league, representing the Algerian Desert Hawks team.
He reached the quarter finals of the African Olympic qualification in Cameroon and the world Olympic qualification in Baku, where he lost to the representative of Ukraine Nikolay Butsenko - this was enough to get to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro . However, at the Games Hammashi fought only one single fight, already at the preliminary stage of the category up to 56 kg with a score of 1: 2, he was defeated by the Brazilian Robenilson de Jesus and dropped out of the fight for medals [1] .
After the Brazilian Olympics, Fachem Hammashi remained in the main team of the Algerian national team and continued to take part in major international tournaments. So, in 2017, he performed at the African Championships in Brazzaville, but reached here only 1/8 finals [2] .
