Biography
He studied singing at the Telavi Theological College, then, in 1878-1886, at the Tiflis Theological Seminary . In the years 1890-1902 he conducted the choir of the Telavi Theological College. In 1912, after participating in a folklore expedition, he organized an ethnographic choir, with which he also performed his own compositions. A connoisseur of folk songs, masterfully mastered the art of choral writing. One of the founders of Georgian composer choral music. He introduced four-voice, as well as female voices in the choirs.
