Producer Louis B. Mayer did not immediately agree to star in actress Lillian Guiche , fearing resistance from church groups. Filming took less than two months. The film was announced as "This is a real picture A" ( Eng. It's a real 'A' picture ), alluding to the first letter in the word Adultery (translated from English. - "adultery"). [1] Copies of the film were preserved in the archives of the MGM / United Artists film company and in the archives of film and television at the University of California, Los Angeles . [2]
