Geography
The village is located on the banks of the river Poboyka , 15 km south-west from the center of the village of Muromtsevo and 14 km south from the district center of Sudogda .
History
In the affairs of the patriarchal government order of 1702, the village of Artemovskaya was mentioned as part of the Zayastrebsky parish , in which there were 10 residential and 3 empty courtyards [2] .
In the XIX - the first quarter of the XX century, the village was part of the Berezhkovskaya volost of Sudogda district , since 1926 - as part of the Sudogda volost of Vladimir district . In 1859 [3] there were 34 yards in the village, in 1905 [4] - 60 yards, in 1926 [5] - 77 yards.
Since 1929, the village was the center of the Volno-Artyomovsky village council of Sudogodsky district , since 1979 - as part of the Begovsky village council , since 2005 - as part of the Muromtsevo rural settlement .

Infrastructure
The village houses the former Volnoartemovskaya primary school (closed in 2014), a rural culture house, a feldsher-midwife station, and a federal postal service [7] .
Attractions
The village has a wooden Trinity Church (built in 2011).
