Biography
In 1858 he graduated from the Pavlovsk Cadet Corps , was released as second lieutenant in the Little Russian 10th Grenadier Regiment . In 1862, after graduating from the Nikolaev Academy of the General Staff, he was transferred to the General Staff . In 1863, a participant in the suppression of the Polish rebellion . In 1867 he was promoted to captain.
Since 1872, Lieutenant Colonel of Kherson 130th Infantry Regiment . In 1874 he was promoted to colonel with the transfer to the General Staff. Since 1875, the chief of staff of the Caucasian Grenadier Division . Since 1877, the assistant chief of staff of the Caucasian Military District , a participant in the Russo-Turkish War .
In 1882, he was appointed Military Governor of the Amur Region and the ataman of the Amur Cossack Army . In 1884 he was promoted to major general .
Since 1886, the commander of the 2nd Brigade of the 35th Infantry Division . Since 1888, the commandant of the Osovets fortress . Since 1893, the head of the 16th Infantry Division , in 1894 he was promoted to lieutenant general .
Since 1895, the commandant of the Libava fortress . Since 1903, the commandant of the Brest-Litovsk fortress , in 1904 he was promoted to general from infantry .
