Biography

Club career

He started playing football in Paide (coach - Victor Mets) and Tallinn (coach - Uno Piir). In 1995, together with his brother Meelis, he signed a contract with Tallinn Flora . In the first seasons of his career, he played on loan for clubs from the village of Lelle and Tervis from Pärnu. In the first team, Flora made his debut in the 1995/96 season, but did not become a regular base player.

In 2000, he moved to the Danish Midtyllann , where he became the main player and played 63 matches in the Danish Championship for two seasons, became the bronze medalist of the championship. In 2002 he moved to one of the strongest clubs in the country - " Copenhagen ", in his composition three times became the champion of Denmark. In the mid-2000s, received a serious injury, due to which several seasons almost did not play. In 2007 he moved to the Finnish TPS , in which he spent a season and a half, then returned to Flora, and in 2009 he played for half a year for the Finnish Yaro .

In 2010, he moved to Paide , which was coached by his brother, and played for this club until the end of his career in 2014. Since 2011, he also worked in the management of a local sports and fitness complex.

Career in the national team

The debut match for the national team of Estonia played on July 7, 1996 against Latvia , and scored his first goal in it. He became one of three footballers (as of 2017) who managed to score a goal in his debut game for the Estonian team. Total played for the national team 70 matches and scored 1 goal (according to other sources, 72 matches and 2 goals). In one game he was the captain of the national team (in 2004 against Russia ).
