History
The Kholmansky farm (on the land of General Martynov) is mentioned in the List of populated areas of the Samara province, according to 1889 information. The farm belonged to the Kuzyabayevsky volost of the Nikolaev district . The population of the farm was 140 people [3] . Subsequently, the farm transferred to the Nizhne-Pokrovsk parish of the same county . According to the 1897 census, the population of Kholmanka was 283 inhabitants [4]
According to the List of Populated Places of the Samara Province in 1910, the farm was inhabited by former state peasants , Little Russians , Orthodox, 98 men and 88 women [5] .
Physical-geographical characteristic
The village is located in the Volga region , on the right bank of the Talovaya River ( Kamelika tributary) [6] . The height of the center of the settlement is 66 meters above sea level [7] . Soils: in the Talova floodplain - floodplain neutral and slightly acidic, above the floodplain - dark chestnut [8] .
The village is located 22 km in a straight line south of the district center of the village Perelyub . By road, the distance to the regional center is 31 km, to the regional center of the city of Saratov - 390 km [9] .
