Located at an altitude of 1322 m above sea level in the upper Ozernaya River ( Agul basin), in the Nizhneudinsky district , about 217 km west of the city of Nizhneudinsk , on the territory of the Tofalarsky Nature Reserve of federal significance, and together with Agulsky Lake is one of the attractions of this specially protected natural territories [2] [3] [4] .
The lake is extended in the meridional direction and is surrounded by the spurs of the Kansky Belogorye - Priozerny ridge from the west and Bear Ridge from the east. The length of the lake is 7.2 km, the width is up to 1.2 km, the area is 4.3 km², the catchment area is 33.5 km². The maximum depth is 63 meters, the water temperature at the end of July is 10–12 ° C [2] [5] [6] .
