Content
Geography
The village is located 55 km east of the center of the settlement of Urshelsky and 19 km northwest of Gus Khrustalny .
History
At the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries, the village was part of the Moruga volost of Sudogda county , and since 1926 it was part of the Arsamakin volost . In 1859 [2] there were 23 yards in the village, in 1905 [3] - 31 yards, in 1926 - 39 yards.
Since 1929, the village was the center of the Ostrovsky Village Council of the Gus-Khrustalny District , since 1954 - as part of the Abbakumovsky Village Council , since 2005 - as part of the Municipal Formation “Urshelsky Village” .
