Karpeni parish - administrative-territorial unit, which was part of Novouzensk district of the Samara province . The parish consisted of the only village - Karpenki (now the village of Karpenka, Krasnokutsky district, Saratov region).

The population of the volost was mainly Little Russians , Orthodox .
In the period before the establishment of the Soviet government, the parish had an apparatus of volost administration , traditional for such administrative-territorial units of the Russian Empire.
The parish was located on the right side of the river Eruslan . According to the map of the counties of the Samara province in 1912, in the east the parish borders with Semenov volost , in the south and west - with Verkhne-Yruslansky volost , in the north - with Kaluga volost [2] . The territory of the former volost is part of the lands of Krasnokutsky district of the Saratov region (the administrative center of the region is the city of Saratov ).
