Biography
Born in 1976. After graduating from high school in 1993 in the village. Zavoyko (city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky ) entered Moscow State University (MSU) at the Faculty of Biology, which she graduated in 1998 with honors with a degree in zoology. Then she was enrolled in graduate school at the Institute of Marine Biology FEB RAS (Vladivostok), in 2001 she defended her thesis [1] .
In 2003, she was admitted to the Department of Invertebrate Zoology, Faculty of Biology, Moscow State University , where she currently works (since 2004 - senior, since 2008 - leading researcher). In 2008, she became a doctor of biological sciences , the theme of the dissertation was “Phoronids (Phoronida): structure, development, world fauna, phylogeny” [1] .
In 2016, among 493 prominent Russian scientists, she was elected professor of the RAS [2] .
Scientific Activities and Achievements
E. N. Temereva is the author of more than 150 scientific works, of which 2 monographs, 1 study guide and 85 articles in scientific publications. A number of articles have been published in top-level journals such as Academy of Science Reports , Journal of Zoology, and Frontiers in Zoology . The Hirsch index is 9 ( RSCI data for 2017 [3] ). She delivered invited, including plenary, presentations at major international conferences: for example, at the 2013 international congress Invertebrate Reproduction and Development in Detroit, USA made 5 presentations, 2 of which were plenary.
Her main works are devoted to issues of phylogenesis of tentacle animals : phoronids , brachiopods and bryozoans , which make up one of the most mysterious groups of the animal kingdom ( Lophophorata ) [4] . The only specialist in the field of structure, taxonomy and biology of phoronids in Russia is a mass group of marine invertebrates, many of which are species-identifiers and determine the composition of marine bottom communities.
Teaching and Enlightenment
He has been teaching at Moscow State University since 1999. She developed and teaches new training courses “3D modeling for zoologists”, “Tentacles: phoronids and bryozoans”, “Modern problems of invertebrate zoology”. Founder of the youth scientific team for the study of tentacle animals, maxillofacial , holothurians and echiurid .
E. N. Temereva is an active promoter and popularizer of scientific knowledge. He publishes popular science articles in various Russian media, including the evolution of the tentacle inhabitants of the sea , the common ancestors of bryozoans, brachopods and forodnids , the life of sea worms and their “inner world” . She acted in the program "Radio Mayak" with a story about marine invertebrates .
Scientific and organizational activities
E. N. Temereva - Executive Secretary of the Invertebrate Zoology Scientific Journal (since 2004), was the editor-in-chief of the issues of this journal dedicated to the 4th International Congress on Invertebrate Morphology (2017). Since 2011, he has also been a member of the editorial board of Zoomorphology .
He is a member of the International Society for Invertebrate Morphology ( International Society for Invertebrate Morphology , since 2011; in 2014, she was invited as a plenary speaker to the next congress of this society).
She participated in the organization of scientific events, including as the chairman of the organizing committees of the Lomonosov International Youth Forum (Biology section, 2011-2016, the annual number of participants in the section is more than 700) and the 4th International Congress on Invertebrate Morphology; number of participants 350 from 29 countries).
