History
The predecessor of the formation is the 422nd Infantry Division of the 2nd formation formed on the orders of the Headquarters of the Supreme High Command on March 4, 1942 in the Far East . The formation of the compound took place in Bikin. The division received the baptism of fire in the Battle of Stalingrad , taking part in military operations to cover the railway leading to Stalingrad.
For military merits in the Battle of Stalingrad, the 422nd Infantry Division was awarded the Order of the Red Banner and the title of Guards . On March 1, 1943, the division was renamed the 81st Guards Rifle Division. The honorary name "Krasnogradskaya" division received for the liberation of the city of Krasnograd, Kharkov region. The division took part in the Battle of Kursk , crossing the Dnieper . The further military route ran through Romania , Hungary and Austria .

In 2009, the compound was reorganized into a brigade. Full name - 57th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Krasnograd Red Banner, Order of the Suvorov Brigade (57th Omsbr). [2] [3]
