History
On December 20, 2004 , two combined-cycle power units with a total capacity of 78 MW were put into operation. On March 1, 2005 , the Sochi Thermal Power Plant joined the power line Krasnopolyanskaya Hydroelectric Power Station - Vereshchaginskaya. After the first stage was commissioned, the capacity of the Sochi Thermal Power Plant was 78 MW, and the heat capacity was 25 Gcal / h. [1]
In connection with the 2014 Winter Olympics , it was decided to double the station’s capacity. The cost of constructing the second stage of the Sochi TPP was estimated at 3.8 billion rubles. The management of Sochinskaya TES OJSC initially intended to commission the second phase of the thermal power plant in December 2008 . [one]
Since April 25, 2008, the North-Western Thermal Power Plant (St. Petersburg) was merged with the enterprise. This decision was made at an extraordinary shareholders meeting on December 19, 2007. [2]
On December 25, 2009, power unit No. 3 with a capacity of 80 MW of the second stage of the Sochi TPP was put into operation. The total installed capacity of the station doubled - up to 158 MW for electricity and up to 50 Gcal / hour for heat.
