Biography
M. M. Blum was born on October 6, 1933 in Kolomna, in the family of a talented gunsmith Mikhail Nikolayevich Blum and Antonina Nikolaevna Blum. A father instilled in his sons a love of arms and hunting from his childhood [3] . He received a military engineer degree at the Kiev Higher Military Engineering School . He served on Sakhalin, received the first certificate of authorship on a high-speed aviation gun [2] .
From 1957 he worked in the Institute of the Defense Industry , was engaged in the design of rifle hunting and ammunition for it. The author of more than twenty inventions (including in co-authorship), was awarded the medal of the Exhibition of Economic Achievements and the badge “Inventor of the USSR” [1] [2] .
Author of several books and more than 120 articles on ballistics , ammunition , hunting weapons [2] [4] . He was a member of the editorial board and editorial staff of the magazine “Hunting and Hunting Economy”, published under the pseudonyms A. Sokolov, M. Kolomensky [1] .
The younger brother of M. M. Blume, Alexey, is also known as a game hunter and expert on hunting weapons.
