Biography

As a nurse, she served in the UK Department of Health as head of the nursing department, having worked for the National Health Service (NHS) for more than 35 years.

In 2001, she passed a deacon’s, and in 2002 a priestly ordination.

On July 22, 2015, Bishop Justin Welby was ordained bishop. After the ordination, she retained an interest in medical practice, holding independent posts in the trusts of the National Health System and being a member of the Board of Trustees of King`s College London.

In 2017, she was elected the first female bishop of London and on December 18 was confirmed as Queen of Great Britain by Elizabeth II. In this regard, will take a seat in the House of Lords of the British Parliament [1] .
