Biography
Daughter of a revolutionary Pavel Chegodaev, who worked in the People's Commissariat of Justice of the USSR [1] . She graduated from the Military Academy named after MV Frunze (one of the first five women who graduated from the Military Academy) [3] . Fluent in French, German and Spanish [4] , served as a translator in the Red Army. She worked at the Lenin International School [4] .
She participated in the Spanish Civil War on the side of the Second Spanish Republic , served on the front lines and worked as a translator for N.N. Voronova (Voltaire) [4] . Awarded the Order of the Red Banner [1] .
After the start of the Great Patriotic War, she headed the Central Women's School of sniper training, worked on the Volkhov front . Preparing future female snipers and personnel of women's aviation regiments. In 1943, he was sent to the USSR Embassy in Cuba after the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries.
After the war, she worked as an editor of the French-language supplement to the magazine " New Time " [1] .
