History
After the collapse of the USSR, only paper money was used in Belarus for 25 years. Commemorative coins in circulation were not really used. However, after the denomination was held in 2016, for the first time in the history of the sovereign Republic of Belarus, coins appeared in monetary circulation. After the denomination, 8 coin denominations and 7 banknote denominations were issued. The smallest denomination is 1 kopeck, equal to the previously converted 100 rubles of 2000.

The attitude of people
Since the size of the coin is very small (diameter 15 mm), it is very difficult to get and use it when calculating. For older people, it is difficult to parse the image of a coin, as it is often compared with 2 and 5 kopecks. Also, after a while they become darker. This is explained by the fact that the main composition of the coin is copper, which interacts well with oxygen and oxidizes.
