Geography
It is located 164 km (from the Central bus station in Samara to the bus station in Shental) in the northeast of Samara or 188 km - by road.
In the area there are two more villages with a similar name: Old Shentala and New Shentala . In the Shentalinsky area there are many beautiful and interesting places for recreation, for example, Lake Ermolov .
History
The village was founded as a railway station in 1911 in connection with the construction of the railway.
The first immigrants, according to archival documents, appeared here in 1911 , when the road to Bugulma appeared. The station was named "Shental." With the beginning of train traffic, a team of lumberjacks was organized here, which provided locomotives passing through the station with firewood. The first appeared Vokzalnaya street. Opposite the current department store, several houses were built for railroad workers.
In 1923, an elementary school was opened here. In early 1935, Szentala became a district center.
