Born in Petrograd .
Since 1938 he studied at LETI (Faculty of Radio Engineering).
In 1941-1945 served in the Red Army, commander of a radio platoon, lieutenant. Demobilized due to disability (leg was amputated after injury).
In 1946 he resumed his studies at LETI and after graduation he worked there.
Since the 1960s Researcher, Research Institute of the Shipbuilding Industry.
The 1951 Stalin Prize - for the invention of an ultrasound microscope, the improvement and industrial development of ultrasonic flaw detection methods.
He was awarded the orders of the Red Star, World War 1 and 2 degrees, medals "For Courage", "For the Defense of Leningrad."
He died on March 11, 1997. He was buried in the city of Pushkin .
