Geography
The village is located on the banks of the Muliga River, 13 km southeast of the center of the village of Peksha and 28 km southeast of the district center of Petushka .
History
In the late XIX - early XX centuries, the village was part of the Kopninsky volost of Pokrovsky district , since 1924 - as part of the Boldinsky volost of Vladimir district . In 1859 [2] there were 19 households in the village, in 1905 [3] - 37 households, in 1926 [4] - 62 households.
Since 1929, the village was the center of the Stepanovsky village council of the Sobinsky district , since 1945 - as part of the Boldinsky village council of the Petushinsky district , since 1974 - as part of the Pekshinsky village council , since 2005 - as part of the Pekshinsky rural settlement .
