Biography
Dmitry Jayani was born on August 20, 1950 in Senaki . In 1973 he graduated from the acting department of the Tbilisi Theater University named after Shota Rustaveli .
In 1973-1982 he played in the Georgian troupe of the Sukhumi State Drama Theater. S. Chanba (now the Abkhaz State Drama Theater ).
In 1982 he became an actor of the Sukhumi State Drama Theater. Gamsakhurdia, and since 1992 was its director and artistic director.
Since 2010, he has been the coordinator of the regional theaters of the Georgian Theater Union. Since 2013, he headed the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Government of Abkhazia in exile [1] . He was a deputy of the Parliament of Georgia [2] .
Died December 9, 2017 in Izmir, Turkey from a heart attack [3] [4] . He was buried in the pantheon of Saburtalo .
