Micropsy (from other Greek. Μικρός - small + ὄψις - view) is a visual disorder in which the sizes of objects visible to the patient look smaller than they actually are [1] . The subject perceives visible objects or some of their fragments of a significantly smaller size than they really are.

Disorders in which micropsy manifests
Ophthalmology
Micropsy can occur with lesions of the retina in the macula , or with paralysis of accommodation [1] .
Psychiatry and Neurology
Micropsy in the absence of eye damage in psychiatry is considered as a psychosensory disorder [1] . It can be observed with epilepsy and mental disorders that occur with stupefaction [1] , derealization syndrome .
Criticality to micropsy may or may not be [1] .
There are similar disturbances in the perception of objects of space: macropsy , when objects are perceived to be enlarged, and metamorphopsia , when objects are perceived distorted, dysmegalopsia - twisted around the axis, polyopsy - objects in an increased number.
