Biography
He studied at the Lyceum, studied law at the University of Toulouse. In 1966, he passed the official degree exam and moved to Clermont-Ferrand , where he continued to study law. At the same time he attended a tax school and studied aikido under the guidance of Pierre Brousse. Got the first dan by 1966. After serving in the army, he got a job as a tax inspector and gave aikido lessons. In his student years he played tennis and was engaged in swimming.
Blaise met Christian Tieux, another French aikidoka who traveled to Japan. After a conversation with Tieux, Blaise decided to follow his example and visit Japan, because, in his own words, he was "tired of teaching" and wanted to improve his skills himself. He first visited Japan in 1975, where he met with his teacher Michio Hikitsuchi , the owner of 10 Dan in Aikido. Under French law, Blaise was entitled to a two-year long leave, but after the leave he was obliged to return to work.
After talking with the teacher, Blaise decided to stay in Japan, where he lived for five and a half years, learning Japanese and also mastering judo and karate techniques. There he met a woman named Shikako, who became his wife (someone recommended Blaise as a French teacher). Upon returning to France, Blaise moved to Paris, where he continued to teach aikido. With his submission, about 50 Aikido clubs and another 20 in the world appeared in France.
On April 26, 1995, he received the 7th Dan of Aikido from Kisshomaru Ueshiba by decision of Michio Hikitsuchi.
Currently holds seminars around the world, including in Russia [2] .
He is fond of painting.
