Geography
The village is located on the banks of the Peksha River, 6 km north of the center of the village of Peksha and 22 km north-east of the district center of Petushka .
History
According to the scribe books of 1637, the village of Taratino was listed in the Matreninsky volost with its center in the Resurrection Pogost [2] .
In the late XIX - early XX centuries, the village was part of the Vorontsov volost of the Pokrovsky district , since 1924 - as part of the Bolda volost of Vladimir district . In 1859 [3] there were 33 yards in the village, in 1905 [4] - 43 yards, in 1926 [5] - 37 yards.
Since 1929, the village was part of the Cherkasovsky village council of the Sobinsky district , since 1940 - as part of the Larionovsky village council , since 1945 - as part of the Petushinsky district , since 2005 - as part of the Pekshinsky rural settlement .
