Life Path

Sabriya Eredzhepova was born on July 12, 1912 in Bakhchisarai in the family of a teacher. She first performed on stage in a choir on the anniversary of Sarah Baykina in 1928 . Since 1932, the young singer performs on the Crimean radio with a repertoire of folk songs.

In 1935, Eredzhepova was invited to dub the film “ Zaporozhets beyond the Danube ” and sang behind the scenes the songs “Mejbur old” (“Under Coercion”) and “Penjereden kar kelir” (““ Snow falls outside the window ”).

In 1939, the singer took part in the I All-Union pop contest in Moscow with the song “Nogai Beitleri” (“Nogai Chastooshka”), the performance was “encore”, and the chairman of the jury Isaak Dunaevsky even had to reassure the audience. Eredzhepova was awarded the diploma "Talented young singer." In the same period, she tried herself on television.

In 1940, Sabriya Eredzhepova was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Crimean ASSR .

During the Great Patriotic War, Eredzhepova performed with an ensemble in front of the fighters, as well as on the stage of the Tatar theater in Simferopol . After the war she was sentenced to 7 years in camps. After rehabilitation, she worked in the ensemble "Haytarma" in Uzbekistan , and in 1966 Sabri was awarded the honorary title of Honored Artist of the Uzbek SSR.

The singer died on September 18, 1977, she was buried in the city of Tashkent .
