Climbing shoes ( climbing , English. Climbing shoe ) - a specialized type of shoe designed for climbing , climbing and bouldering . They have a solid sole and a narrow block, which provides fixation of the leg for climbing on rocks or on a climbing wall. These shoes are not suitable for walking and hiking, as a rule, they are worn right on the spot before starting to climb the rock or at the climbing wall.

Genuine leather
Skalniki from genuine leather, as a rule, stretch well in the first weeks of operation. Therefore, in the beginning we have to go through the process of wearing. In general, the denser the rocky shoes fit the legs, the more support they provide. However, excessively small skalniks wear out much faster, adding virtually nothing when setting their legs apart from discomfort. Stretching over several sizes, leather skalniks adapt to any foot of the wearer as much as possible, and when choosing too large a size can quickly turn into trampled "galoshes".
Synthetic materials
Climbing shoes made of synthetic materials usually stretch within the same size. This simplifies the selection, reduces the chances of making a mistake with the size and eliminates the procedure for wearing. The size should be taken as small as possible, provided that standing on toes you do not experience pain. Simply put, your legs should be cramped, but not painful.
Rocky shoe features
The block of rock shoes has bends in the horizontal and vertical planes. What bends they have depends on what they are intended for. The horizontal bend determines the position (shape) of the foot, and the vertical bend is responsible for the bending of the foot, that is, how much the toes will be lower from their usual position. In addition to bends, pads differ in rigidity. Rigid rocks allow you to climb well using small protrusions (meager), while soft ones increase sensitivity. [one]
The block happens:
- Sports
- Technical
- Comfortable
In addition to the type of pads, rock shoes can be divided according to the type of fixing the legs:
- On flypapers - enough fixation of foot fixation, it is easy to put on and remove skalnik.
- With laces - provide maximum fixation, unlike Velcro.
- Czechs (sleepers) - give good sensitivity. They are also more convenient to remove and put on than laced rocky.
