Criticism (from fr. Critique from ancient Greek. Κριτική τέχνη “art to disassemble, judgment”) - analysis, evaluation and judgment about the phenomena of any field of human activity [1] . The tasks of criticism are:
- revealing contradictions ;
- error detection and analysis;
- analysis ( analysis ), discussion of something with the purpose of giving an assessment (for example, literary criticism );
- negative judgment about something (in art , public life, etc.), pointing out deficiencies and looking for ways to eliminate them;
- research, scientific verification of authenticity, authenticity of something (for example, criticism of a text, criticism of historical sources);
- review, discussion of something to express their point of view;
- assessment;
A critic ( Greek κριτικός , from κριτική - the art of analyzing, judging) is a person ( specialist ) whose field of activity is criticism , that is, analysis, evaluation and judgment about the phenomena of any area of human activity, usually in the field of culture.
