Janusz Chmura ( Polish Janusz Chmura ) (b.? - d. 2014) - Polish mining scientist. He headed the Polish Society for the Protection of Underground Monuments "Hades-Polska".

From a Creative Biography
Senior scientist, master-engineer Janusz Hmura - a native of the village of Shvidnitsy. After graduating from the Krakow Mining and Metallurgical Academy , he worked at coal mines in Yastrzhembe for several years. He returned to the Stanislav Stashits Mining and Metallurgical Academy (KSMA) to the Department of Geomechanics, Construction and Geotechnics. Under the scientific supervision of prof. Z. Strzheletskogo began researching historical underground structures and devoted more than 30 years to the renovation and technical support of mining monuments. For many years he was the scientific secretary of the Society for the Restoration of Historical Underground Facilities, as well as the Society for Supporting the Underground Part of Old Krakow.
Khmura Janusz is the author of 95 scientific publications (including two books) related to the sustainability of underground structures and the renovation of mining monuments (in particular in Bochnia and Wieliczka ).
