The Brotherhood of the Rosicrucians ( The Rosicrucian Fellowship (TRF) ), (International Christian Mystic Association) was founded in 1909 by Max Handel with the goal of ushering in the era of Aquarius and proclaiming the “true philosophy” of the Rosicrucians . [1] He claimed to represent esoteric Christian secrets or esoteric knowledge, referred to in Matthew 13:11 and Luke 8:10, to establish unity for art , religion, and science and prepare man through the harmonious development of the mind and heart. and selfless service to humanity [2] .

The Brotherhood of the Rosicrucians conducts spiritual healing services and offers correspondence courses in esoteric Christianity , philosophy, "spiritual astrology " and biblical interpretation [3] . Its headquarters is located on Mount Ecclesia in Oceanside , California , and its students are located around the world, organized in centers and study groups. [4] His mission is to unveil a scientific method of development specifically designed for Westerners, through which the “Body of the Soul” can be created so that humanity can accelerate the Second Coming [5] . Origin and basics

In 1908, Max Handel began in New York to rewrite previous works of the teachings in German, allegedly written at the direction of the founding brothers in their church near the border with Bohemia and Germany [7] . Handel moved to Buffalo , New York, where he finished typing in September 1908. The work, called Cosmic Concept of the Rosicrucians , was revised and published in November 1909.

The first edition totaled 2,500 copies printed in Chicago , it was sold out after six months, but it became known that 2,000 of them were provided by the publisher as payment for the publisher’s debts to other publishers. A large second issue was immediately ordered: the first payment was made thanks to the help of Augusta Foss [8] , who will become Max Handel’s wife. This time, two booksellers bought a third of the print run before it was printed. [9]

The formal constitution of the Brotherhood of the Rosicrucians appeared on August 8, 1909 in Seattle , Washington , at 3 a.m. The first Rosicrucian training center was already formed in Columbus , Ohio on November 14, 1908, where Handel lectured and taught for several months. After each lecture, he distributed free mimeographic copies to the audience; these twenty lectures were published in 1909 along with the first issue of the Rosicrucian Cosmoconception, entitled The Rosicrucian Christianity Lectures. The Columbus Center was followed by centers at North Yakima in Washington (November 1909), Portland in Oregon and Los Angeles , California (February 27, 1910), where theosophist friend Handel August Foss lived. In Los Angeles, Max Handel held conferences for an audience of almost a thousand people three times a week from November 29, 1909 to March 17, 1910.

On October 28, 1911, the organization’s international headquarters, which is still in use today, was opened on Mount Ecclesia in Oceanside , California. The memorial ceremony was the establishment of a large cross with the initials CRC (in honor of Christian Rosencreutz , the legendary head of the original order), written in gilded letters on the three upper ends and with an ascending rose. The Rosicrucian monastery church called Ecclesia was erected to provide more powerful means for healing diseases and was opened on December 25, 1920. There are daily spiritual healing meetings.

According to Max Handel, the invisible Order of the Pink Cross exists in the inner worlds, was founded in 1313 and consists of twelve great adepts belonging to human evolution, but already advanced far beyond the revival cycle [10] . Their mission is explained by the desire to prepare the whole wide world for a new stage of religion, which includes awareness of the inner worlds and subtle bodies, as well as provide safe guidance in the gradual awakening of a person’s hidden spiritual abilities: “prepare a new phase of the Christian religion, which will be used in the coming period . ” [11]

When joining the Brotherhood of the Rosicrucians, a fee is not charged, it is funded by donations. The brotherhood recognizes seven degrees, but its teaching is based on a three-degree system: an ordinary student, trainee, and student [12] . After a two-year stay as a regular student of the fraternity, a person who refrains from all flesh, tobacco, drugs that contribute to a change in consciousness, and alcohol, can apply for an intern degree. When the trainee has completed the necessary requirements and completed the trial period, he can send a request for individual instruction. Access to the class of students is granted according to his deserts, [13] after he was accepted as an apprentice, the subsequent Spiritual disclosure of the advanced soul in the Order of the Cross of the Rose is carried out in the process of nine Small Initiations [14] .

Teaching

The school’s teaching says that a person is a Spirit with all the powers of God, forces that slowly unfold in a series of beings ( rebirths ) in a gradually improving body, a process led by exalted Beings that streamline our steps, as a person gradually acquires intelligence and will. For this, we live many lives [15] of an increasingly subtle texture and moral character. Through the Law of Cause and Effect, we are constantly introducing new causes into action that will create a new destiny for balance and improve the old fate brought from the past. All the causes brought into action in one life cannot ripen in one existence, but "no matter what a person sows, he will reap it."
