Biography

Marianna Martinez's father was the ceremonial master of the Nuncio in Vienna and a friend of the Italian librettist and playwright Pietra Metastasio . [2] Metastasio encouraged the training of Marianne Martinez, especially in literature and music. In addition, Marianne received lessons from Joseph Haydn and Giuseppe Bonno . She was familiar with important personalities in politics, culture and society. By the way, she played for Empress Maria Theresa . At least once a week, she gave musical evenings in her house. Before her death, Marianne Martinez lived with her sister. Metastasio died in 1782 and left his estate to the sisters.
