Geography

The village is located 6 km north-east of the district center Kameshkovo and 2 km from the railway station Novki on the line Vladimir - Kovrov .

History

In the late XIX - early XX century, the village was part of the Eden volost Kovrov district . In 1859 [2] there were 19 courtyards in the village, in 1905 [3] - 30 courtyards, in 1926 [4] - 42 courtyards.

Since 1929, the village has been the center of the Novkinsky Village Council of the Kovrov District , since 1940 - as part of the Eden Village Council of the Kameshkovsky District , since 1954 - as part of the Bryzgalovsky Village Council , since 2005 - as part of the Bryzgalovsky Municipality .
