Biography

Born September 20, 1922 in the village of Tarki, Dagestan (now Sovetsky district of Makhachkala) in a family of textile workers. By nationality kumychka. After school and study at the factory school, she entered the spinning workshop of the factory of the name of the Third International, where her mother worked. Then she graduated from the Buinaksk Pedagogical School, typewriting courses, worked as a typing secretary in the radio committee. Engaged in amateur.

In 1940 she entered the choir of the Dagestan Radio Committee. In 1943-1949 she studied at the Azerbaijan State Conservatory . As a student, she worked at the Azerbaijan State Theater of Opera and Ballet .

In 1949 she returned to Dagestan. In 1949-1976 he was a soloist of the Dagestan State Philharmonic . She became the first performer of vocal compositions by G. A. Hasanov, N. S. Dagirova, S. A. Kerimov and other Dagestan composers. She has toured in Albania, the Mongolian People’s Republic, Finland and the People’s Republic of China.

Rasul Gamzatov wrote [1] about one of her performances in the Hall of Columns of the House of Unions in Moscow:

... like a grain ripened spike,
The evening is rich in songs
The hall does not breathe - the voice flows
Batalbekova Isbat ...

Elected deputy of the Supreme Council of the Dagestan Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic .

She died on November 22, 1999 in Makhachkala.
