Bohuslav Marian Liberacki ( Polish. Bogusław Marian Liberadzki ; September 12, 1948 , Sochaczew ) - Polish politician and economist, deputy of the European Parliament since 2004 .

He graduated from the School of Planning and Statistics , received a doctoral degree and then a master's degree in economics. He worked as chairman of the Higher School of Economics in Transport in Warsaw and a professor at the Faculty of Engineering and Economics of Maritime Transport of the University. He was a Fulbright Fellow in 1986 - 1987 at the University of Illinois ( USA ).
From 1975 to 1981 he belonged to the Socialist Union of Polish Students. He was also a member of the Polish United Workers Party . From 1989 to 1993 , he served as Secretary of State, and in 1997 , Minister for Transport and Maritime Affairs. From 1997 to 2004 he was elected to the Polish Sejm from the Union of Democratic Left Forces .
He was awarded the Gold and Silver Cross of Merit, the medal of the National Commission on Education and thanks to the industry and transport.
He is married and has two sons.
