Content
History
The station was opened in 1884 as a crossing Chervonnoye. Name received from Chervona beams, located to the north. Not far from the crossing, 12 mines of the Chervoniy reservoir were mined, mining ores with high iron content, which were delivered to the loading points, which changed the crossing to the cargo station - this, in turn, stimulated an increase in ore mining.
The station received its greatest development in the years 1930-1960, and acquired its modern shape in the late 1940s.
The station was electrified in 1959–1960, together with the electrification of the entire Verkhovtsevo- Dolgintsevo- Chervonnoe line of the then Stalinist railway [1] .
In 1975 received the name of Krivoy Rog.
In 2011, in front of the station, a monument was erected to the soldiers of the 6th Separate Assault Rifle Battalion, who died during the liberation of Krivoy Rog from the fascist invaders in February 1944 [2] .

The station is located in the Metallurgical district of the city of Krivoy Rog, Dnepropetrovsk region, between the stations of Krivoy Rog-Glavny (6 km) and Krivoy Rog-Zapadny (7 km).
The length of the platform is 125 meters, the station area is 8.1 thousand meters.
The station Kryvyi Rih sends freight trains with iron ore, is the main for the transport of products of the metallurgical plant ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih and the South Mining .
The station is equipped with modern traffic safety systems.
Passenger communication
The Krivoy Rog station provides maintenance of a suburban transport service - up to 20 suburban trains [3] stop at the station, and the high-speed Intercity train No. 740/739 stops at the station via the Kiev - Krivoy Rog station [4] .
