Biography

Alexander Sorokin started playing volleyball in Saratov . The first coach is Olga Valentinovna Kozlova. Since 1992 - in the volleyball teams of VK "Uralochka" . In 1993-1996 she played for Uralochka -2 / Uraltransbank ( Yekaterinburg ), in which she became a three-time bronze medalist of the Russian championships . Also, as part of Uralochka, she twice became a prize- winner of the European Cup . In 1996, she married and moved to Belgorod . For the local “University” she played for 8 seasons and in her composition won the medals of the Russian championships three more times. In 2004-2006 she played in clubs in Switzerland and Italy , and in 2006-2007 - in the New Urengoy "Torch" . In 2011, after a break, she resumed her career and for four seasons she played for various Russian clubs, as well as in Italy.

In 1992-1995 she played for the youth and junior teams of the CIS and Russia. They have won medals of the World and European Championships four times, including three times gold.

In the national team of Russia, she played in 1995, 2002 and 2004. Silver medalist of the 2004 Olympics , winner of the Grand Prix-2002 , bronze medalist of the European Championship 1995 .
