Petros Akopovich Ananyan ( Armenian Պետրոս Անանյան ; born October 18, 1988, Abovyan, Armenian SSR) is a Russian boxer professional of Armenian descent, a graduate of the Moscow CSKA boxing school. Master of Sports of Russia, IBF International (2017) world champion, middleweight champion. Permanently resides in the city of Zelenograd, married to Anna Antadze, in 2016, her daughter Alina was born.

Biography
Education
Petros Ananyan graduated from the Institute of Sports and Physical Education (RSUFKSMiT), the faculty of martial arts and applied types, specialization is boxing, specialty is physical education and sports, boxing coach (since 2013).
Amateur career
Petros Ananyan began boxing in Zelenograd. in 2001, the legend of the Soviet boxing Evgeny Nikolaevich Gorstkov. In the amateur ring he spent about 300 fights, in which he won 250 victories. During this period of time, he became the Champion of Moscow (2007), the winner of the Cup of Russia (2007), the champion of the armed forces of Russia, the champion of the Central Federal District, the Finalist of the Chinese Open Championship (Guyang), the winner of the “A” tournament in honor of the Olympic champion Valery Popenchenko (2011).
Professional career
He made his debut in the professional ring 2015-06-25 at the age of 27 years. He won 13 victories, 2 draws, has no defeats. The best position in the world according to BOXREC ranking - 37th place (2017).
On November 21, 2015, in his fourth match, he defeated the current champion of Russia, who did not have defeats, Vaginak Tamzaryan and won the belt of the Champion of Russia.
On January 8, 2017 in Latvia, he defeated former WBA world champion Lorenzo Parra.
On October 21, 2017, he defeated the current IBF International champion of the Spanish boxer Luca Giacon in a scandalous battle and won the IBF International (2017) world champion belt.
Scandal
Russian boxer Petros Ananyan defeated Spaniard Luca Giacon in the fight for the IBF International world title, but did not get his belt. This was reported by all the leading channels of the country: REN TV, NTV, 5-channel and the newspaper Sport Express.
The trophy won belonged to the opponent and was handed over, as is customary, immediately after the battle. However, later representatives of the defeated side came to the athlete’s locker room with a demand to return the belt, Petros refused. The Russian athlete explained the incident by hindsight of the organizers of the match. The organizers simply did not make the second belt and refuse even after the scandal to send it to Russia.
Russian boxer Petros Ananyan intends to uphold the right to a well-deserved trophy for victory in court. IBF International World Champion accused competition organizers of excessive savings. He believes that no one bothered to make a belt for the winner. That champion belt, which was handed to him in the ring, was taken from Ananyan in the Spanish police station.
