Nikolai Andreyevich Tsymbal (born January 20, 1925 ) is a Soviet military commander, lieutenant general of aviation, a participant in the Great Patriotic War [1] .

Biography
Nikolay Andreevich Tsymbal was born on January 20, 1925 in the village of Nastashka, Rokimyansky district, Kiev region.
To war
- 1941-1942 - cadet, platoon commander, deputy company commander of the 2nd Moscow Military Infantry School.
- 1942-1945 - fought as a Komsomol of the Infantry Regiment [ what? ] ; heavy self-propelled artillery regiment [ what? ] on the Belorussian and 2nd Baltic fronts.
After the war
- After the war he graduated from the Military-Political Academy named after V.I. Lenin .
- Served in the posts:
- assistant chief of the political department of the corps,
- assistant chief of the political department of the army,
- Assistant to the Head of Political Administration of the Baku Air Defense District for Komsomol work;
- Head of the Political Department of the Bomber Air Division,
- Deputy Commander of the Group of Forces in the Arctic.
- 1966 - graduated from the Military Academy of the General Staff .
- Successively held positions:
- 1966-1972 - member of the Military Council of the 1st Special Far Eastern Air Army,
- 1972-1981 - First Deputy Head of the Political Administration of the USSR Air Force ,
- 1981-1988 - Deputy Head of the Air Force Academy named after Yu. A. Gagarin .
Retired
- 1988-1995 - After the resignation, he worked as deputy chairman of the Soviet and Russian committees of war veterans.
Personal life
He lives in Moscow.
