The song topped the UK UK Singles Chart for three weeks, and also became the first song by James Arthur to hit the Billboard Hot 100 .

Song Information

After the release, the song was accompanied by negative publications, claiming that it had similarities with the song “ The Man Who Can't Be Moved ” by The Script , but The Script did not start a trial [2] .

On September 16, 2016, the song debuted at the 25th place of the British charts, and two weeks later it reached the first place, where it lasted for three weeks [3] [4] [5] . In January 2017, the single overcame the mark of a million copies sold [6] . In March 2017, the single received double platinum status in the UK [7] .

“Say You Won't Let Go” was the first song by James Arthur to hit the Billboard Hot 100 in the US main hit parade, and James Arthur was the second winner of the British show The X Factor after Leona Lewis , whose song hit the top 40 of this hit. parade. In May 2017, the song topped the Billboard Adult Pop Songs Airplay Chart [8] .
