Yuri Vladimir Lobzin (born November 22, 1950 , Port Arthur , China ) is a Soviet and Russian infectious disease doctor . Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences , RAMS (2007, corresponding member 2000), professor (1991), doctor of medical sciences, major general of the medical service [1] [2] . Director of the FSBI Children's Scientific and Clinical Center for Infectious Diseases FMBA (since 2008).

Head of the Department of Infectious Diseases, North-Western State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov (since 2001), previously headed the Department of Infectious Diseases of VMedA .
Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation (2002). Laureate of the Prize of the Government of the Russian Federation (2013).
Biography
Born in a family of doctors. Father Vladimir Semenovich Lobzin graduated from the Naval Medical Academy, served in the Far East, where Yu. V. Lobzin was born. Subsequently, V.S. Lobzin became a prominent neurologist, headed the department at the Leningrad State University of Economics, and headed the society of neurologists of St. Petersburg. The younger brother of Yu. V. Lobzin Sergey is now a neurologist professor, head of the department at the North-Western State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov [3] .
He graduated with a gold medal from the S. Kirov Military Medical Academy (1974), after which he served in the Northern Fleet for three years. Then, since 1977, an adjunct at the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Alma Mater, after which a teacher (since 1980), a senior teacher (since 1987), a department head (since 1994), and at the same time he was the main infectious disease specialist of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation , and earlier, in 1985 he was appointed chief infectious disease specialist of the Navy, since 2001, deputy head of the Military Medical Academy for scientific work. Also since 2001, concurrently is the head of the Department of Infectious Diseases of North-Western Medical University named after I. I. Mechnikov (before the St. Petersburg Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education ) [4] . Chairman of the D-Council of 215.002.01 at the Military Medical Academy [5] .
Upon dismissal from the Armed Forces in 2008, he headed the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Children's Scientific and Clinical Center for Infectious Diseases of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency” and since 2009 he has been the chief freelance specialist of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation for infectious diseases in children, a member of the pharmacological committee of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. “According to statistics, 80-85% of childhood diseases are infectious diseases. This is a very serious figure, and it must also be taken very seriously, because in about half of all deaths in children, infections are the cause. And the third important point: about 30% of children with disabilities have become so because of the infectious process, ”notes Yu. V. Lobzin in 2010 [6] .
Since December 17, 2015 he is also the main infectious disease specialist of St. Petersburg [7] . President of the Euro-Asian Society for Infectious Diseases, Deputy Chairman of the National Scientific Society of Infectious Diseases, President of the Association of Infectious Diseases of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region. Academician MANEB (1994), Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (Corresponding Member 1997) and PANI [3] . Glavred of the Journal of Infectology and Medline.ru, member of the editorial boards and editorial boards of the journals Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases, Medical Academic Journal, Infectious Diseases, Military Medical Journal, and Bulletin of the Russian Military Medical Academy and a number of others.
In 1980, he defended his thesis, and in 1988, his doctorate [2] , which reflected the basic principles of the rehabilitation of infectious patients in military medical institutions.
Yu. V. Lobzin is the founder of a new scientific field - the rehabilitation of infectious patients. Under his leadership, 25 doctoral and 48 master's theses were prepared [8] (data as of the end of 2018).
He was awarded the Order of Military Merit (1996). Laureate of the Prize of the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of education for 2013 [9] . Laureate of the IP Pavlov Prize in the field of physiology and medicine (2013) - for the theoretical justification and development of new approaches in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of infectious diseases in severe forms of the immune system pathology [10] . He is grateful to the President of the Russian Federation, the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation and the head of the FMBA of Russia [8] .
July 17, 2017 by decree of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin awarded the Order of Honor .
Wife Irina - graduate with honors from the Leningrad Conservatory; two sons also became doctors [3] .
He is the author of more than 800 scientific and pedagogical works, including 26 textbooks, 6 reference books, 34 monographs, 17 manuals for doctors, and a textbook for medical schools “Infectious Diseases” [1] .
