Dubovka is a village in the Ardatovsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region of Russia . It was part of the abolished Chuvarley-Maidan Village Council . At the moment, it is part of the urban settlement of the working village of Ardatov .

Geography
Located 14 km west of r.p. Ardatova .
1 km south-east of the village is a key that gives rise to the Kovrozhe River, which flows in the east-west direction and flows into the river. Lomovka 5 km from the village. In the northern part of the village is a pond.
The streets run parallel to each other in the direction southwest - northeast. The village is surrounded by deciduous forests.

History
In 1859, there were 129 households and 660 inhabitants in the village (358 residents of the male polay 302 — female). About a third of the population of Dubovka were serf landlords of Herzig, the rest of the peasants of the village were under the jurisdiction of the specific department.
In the village there was an Orthodox church . The village belonged to low-fertile sandy lands, therefore, "the main breadwinner of the Dubovsk men was the forest", which "still stands right up to Kulebak ."
The most important forestry for the oak men was the manufacture of matting. Dubko on the matting tree was harvested in the lime forests of the neighboring landowners. They rented forests at the beginning of spring, battled bast in the summer, and they wove matting from late autumn to Trinity.
Peasants who were not engaged in the manufacture of matting, cut down wood and firewood, were engaged in the carriage of firewood, and carpentry.
In the 50-60s. XIX century in the economy of Dubovka, a significant role was played by the preparation of vegetable oils. But by the mid-1880s. this trade in the village lost its commercial character, giving way to the export of vegetable oils, produced in abundance in the villages of Nuchinsky, Mechasovskaya and other volosts of the Ardatov district.
In the second half of the XIX century. Dubovka was one of the 15 settlements serving most of the goods transported by Ardatov uyezd.
In the mid 1880s in the village there were 180 houses and 731 residents (363 males and 368 females).
Agriculture was communal, the problem of land shortage was solved by leasing the lands of a specific department. Only two peasants of the village had their own purchased land.
In Dubovka, there was a tavern of a retired soldier Peter Seredin. There were 173 horses, 195 cows, 225 small livestock on peasant farmsteads.
By the end of the XIX century. 459 local and 16 newcomers, 529 local and 11 newcomers lived in the village, that is, a total of 1015 residents.
According to data from 1904, there were two grocery and gastronomic shops in Dubovka; they belonged to V. M. Iordanov and I. S. Milov. In 1910, the village was listed in Kotovskaya volost, it had 219 households united in two peasant societies.
In 1912, Dubovka already consisted of 223 yards, 1,126 people lived in it. 1088 livestock were kept on peasant farms.
When the Soviet government came to the village, part of the well-to-do men of Dubov organized a counter-revolutionary conspiracy. A Red Guards detachment arrived from the village from Ardatov and fired a salvo upwards, the "volunteers", who were forced to trick into the uprising against the Soviet regime by trickery and threats, scattered around the gardens. In this operation, one red guard was killed by a stray bullet.
The collective farm chairmen in Dubovka were S.N. Kharitonov, I.V. Garankov, I.M.Bayurov. From the fronts of World War II, 25 people did not return to Dubovka.
In September 1992, Dubovka was a subsidiary farm of the Ardat factory “Sapphire”. In the village there was a first-aid post, elementary school, shop, and communications department.
Name Origin
The village of Dubovka in the middle of the XIX century . belonged to the second camp of Ardatovsky district. It was located nine miles from the county town on the banks of the river of the same name.
