Biography

Born in 1907 in Yenakiyivka , the son of a metallurgist who came from peasants.

From 1921, he worked at the Yenakiyevo Metallurgical Plant: apprentice mechanic, mechanic, heater of rivets of a boiler shop, assistant to a rammer. After graduating from the V. Chubar vocational school in 1925, he became a mechanic in the open-hearth shop and at the same time the director of the school for working youth, a teacher of algebra and arithmetic.

In 1929–1931, he graduated from the metallurgical technical school with honors, in 1934 - the evening faculty of the Dnipropetrovsk metallurgical institute , also with honors.

From 1930 - a master technologist at the Bessemer shop, then assistant to the head of the Bessemer shop (1934), shift manager at the open-hearth shop, assistant to the head of this shop, from July 1937 - head of the Bessemer shop, director of the Ordzhonikidze (Yenakiyevo) iron and steel works , director of the Nizhnetagilsky metallurgicheskoi metallurgical plant director , director of the Serov metallurgical plant , director of Yenakiyevo plant, director of the Ukrainian Institute of metals Ministry of ferrous metallurgy of the USSR, deputy chairman Luganskog Economic Council, Advisor to the Director of the Metallurgical Plant in Bhilai (India), Deputy Chairman of the Ukrainian Economic Council - Head of the Main Directorate of the Metallurgical Industry of Ukraine, Deputy Director for Research of the Institute for Casting Problems of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR, Advisor to the Chief Engineer for the Construction and Development of the Metallurgical Plant in Annab (Algeria) , Senior Researcher, Institute of Casting Problems, Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR.

Since March 1986, retired.

Awards

Stalin Prize in 1951 - for the development and introduction of new technology for the production of rail steel. He was awarded three Orders of Lenin and three Orders of the Red Banner of Labor, state awards of India and Algeria.
