Geography
Located 24 km northeast of Ardatov .
The village stands at the confluence of several streams flowing south and 4 km southwest flowing into the river. Nuxu. In the southeast, at a distance of 2-3 km there are several small lakes. From all sides the village is surrounded by mixed forests.
The village arose on the banks of a small rivulet, the name of which no one from the locals already remembers. Over time, the river has become shallow, overgrown. Now she has only one dam left. Near Pomelicha there are karst dips. Two kilometers from the village there is Lake Shikaley, which, according to preliminary data, is connected with Lake Charsky, located 7 km from Mukhtolov . Water from Lake Charsky regularly, after 5-7 years in the spring, around March, goes underground. At the same time, water leaves Lake Shikaley at the same time. A little later, in April, after the snow melts, they are filled again.

History
According to a 1992 survey, there were 6 households and 7 disabled residents in the village. Housing stock consisted of 6 houses built in 1918-1940.
Residents of Pomelichi had land on which potatoes and vegetables were grown. Some kept cattle, mostly goats. 1-2 times a week, their Mukhtolov residents of the village were brought bread and other products.
Name Origin
The time of the emergence of the village of Pomeliha is not known to the locals. Even before the revolution from s. Four families were evicted for tax evasion, who settled 6-7 kilometers from the named village and started building houses there. Subsequently, the number of inhabitants in the new place increased and the resulting village was called Pomeliha - from the word "swept out."
