Ha-Galil Ha-Tahton

Ha-Galil-ha-Tahton ( Heb. הגליל התחתון , Lower Galilee ) is a regional council in the Northern Administrative District of Israel , which covers most of the settlements in Lower Galilee .

The regional council includes 18 settlements: 3 kibbutz , 9 moshav and 4 communal settlements and 2 youth villages.

The council building is located in the regional center of Kaduri, in close proximity to the Kaduri Agricultural School.

Content

History

The decision to establish the regional council “Ha-Galil ha-Takhton” was made already in December 1949, but an official decree was issued only in July 1950 [2] .

The Regional Council initially included the Council in its creation of Arbel , Beit Keshet , Kfar Hitim , Kfar Kish , Shadmot Dvor , Agricultural School named after Kaduri , Mitzpah and Saron , as well as four religious settlements: Lavi , Sde Ilan , Hazorea and Ahuzat-Naftali [3] . Initially, Mishmar ha-Shlosha [4] was included in the council, but in 1953 he was transferred to the local council of Yavniel .

Council Borders

The regional council “Ha-Galil ha-Tahton” is limited to the following administrative units:

  • From the north: Beit Netouf valley , Merom HaGalil regional council and Misgav regional council
  • From the east: Tiberias , Yavniel Valley, Emek-ha-Yarden Regional Council and Emek-Izreel Regional Council
  • From the south: Kfar Kama , Kfar Tavor , Mount Tabor and the regional council of Emek-ha-Yarden
  • From the west: Nazareth , Nazareth Illit, and the Emek-Jezreel Regional Council

Population

According to statistics from the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics, the population of the regional council for 2018 is 12,100 [1] .
