Biography
Ilya Simonovich (Semenovich) Alperovich [1] was born on April 22, 1917. In 1936 he graduated from drama school at the Technical School of Performing Arts . In 1936-1941 he worked as an actor of the Leningrad Regional Puppet Theater "Fantosh".
Participated in the Great Patriotic War , was seriously wounded.
Since 1944 he became an artist of the Leningrad Puppet Theater , played more than a hundred roles. He was a sharp, plastic actor. He perfectly mastered the art of drama and puppet actor. He was a brilliant performer of vaudevilles, with a fine sense of humor.
For over ten years he has been conducting a variety show on the Leningrad television “Attention! The microphone is turned on! ”, Speaking in two roles - the presenter and the microphone doll.
He died in 1981 in Leningrad, was buried in the Southern Cemetery .
