Biography
Born in a professorial family. He studied painting at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando . Improved in the workshop of Antonio Maria Esquivel . Later he went to Italy, where he spent many years.
He lived in Genoa , painted many Ligurian landscapes. At the Galicia art exhibition in 1858, the artist presented the watercolor “Sad Girl”, for which he received a silver medal.
In Madrid in 1862 and 1866 he was awarded several awards for landscapes. In 1864, he received an award at the prestigious National Exhibition of Fine Arts of Spain.
He died in Valladolid, suffering from atherosclerosis .
