Monument to Yuri Velikanovich - the now lost monument to Yuri Velikanovich of Theodosia Bryzh , which was installed in Lviv in December 1982. Destroyed by vandals in 2017.

History
The monument was designed by the sculptor Theodosia Bryzh and erected in 1982 [2] near the entrance to the Iron Waters park.
An elegant and light sculpture of a young man in the form of a Spanish Republican of the thirties who sits on a stone and presses a notebook [3] or a notebook with verses [4] to his chest.
The monument was repeatedly subjected to acts of vandalism by the Nazis, who cut off the monument’s head, painted lips, eyes and nails, painted a swastika on it and so on [3] .
In 2010, vandals cut off the monument’s head [5]
In 2015, after vandalism, the monument was dismantled to be restored, cleaned and put in place [4] [6] .
On December 2, 2017, vandals broke off the monument from the pedestal and stained the pedestal of the monument with the red inscription “Get komunyak get” [2] . At the scene arrived officers of the Sikhovsky district police station [2] [7] .
