Biography
The son of a sailing master . His brother Mateus de Berg was also an artist and member of the Guild of Saint Luke . His uncle Daniel de Berg is a master of silver in Delft.
Since 1624 - Member of the Guild of St. Luke in Delft . He worked all his life in his native city.
Creativity
D. de Berg is a master of still lifes in which fruits prevailed. The artist's early works reflect the influence of the work of Cornelis Jacobs Delft , who was possibly his teacher. In the 1630s came under the influence of Balthazar van der Ast and David Jan de Hem .
