Ulysses Giuseppe Gozzadini ( Italian: Ulisse Giuseppe Gozzadini ; October 10, 1650 , Bologna - March 20, 1728 , Imola ) - Italian Curial Cardinal , Secretary of the Breve (1697-1709), Archbishop of Imola (1710-1728).

Born in 1650 in Bologna , came from a noble patrician count family, the great-granddaughter of Cardinal Marcantonio Gozzadini . He studied at the University of Bologna , where in 1670 he received a doctorate in canon law ; and in 1674 under civil law. After graduation, he became a canon of the cathedral chapter of Bologna and a professor of law at the University of Bologna [1] .
In 1693 he moved to Rome, served with the Roman Curia . On August 3, 1697 he received the post of Secretary of the Breve [1] .
On September 8, 1700, Pope Innocent XII appointed Gozzadini the titular bishop of Theodosia (Theodosiensis). Episcopal consecration took place on September 12 [2] . In December of that year, the new Pope Clement XI confirmed for Gozzadini the post of secretary of the log and additionally appointed him as assistant to the papal throne. In 1706, he was secretary of the congregation of propaganda of faith for a short time [1] .
On June 19, 1709, he was appointed cardinal at the Consistory, received the title of Cardinal Priest of the Church of Santa Croce in Jerusalemm [2] . February 19, 1710 was transferred to the department of Imola with the personal title of Archbishop [2] .
In 1714, he represented the pope as a legate at the ceremony of the marriage of King of Spain Philip V and Isabella Farnese , held in Parma . He took part in the conclaves of 1721 and 1724, who elected Innocent XIII and Benedict XIII , respectively [1] .
He died on March 20, 1728 in Imola, was buried in the Cathedral of Imola [1] .
